Mikela Babayan Mikhail, Esq
Mikela Babayan Mikhail, Esq. is an associate attorney at The Ruiz Law Firm, where she focuses her practice exclusively on Workers’ Compensation law. Drawing on nearly two decades of diverse legal experience, Mikela is committed to protecting the rights of injured workers and ensuring they receive the benefits and support they deserve.
Mikela earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Business, from San Jose State University before earning her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego. Over the course of her career, she has served in a variety of legal roles, from case manager to managing attorney, honing her skills in litigation, negotiation, and client advocacy. In addition to her current focus in workers’ compensation, Mikela’s prior practice has included representing clients in family law matters, personal injury cases, employment disputes, and complex civil litigation—consistently achieving favorable results across a broad range of legal issues.
Before joining The Ruiz Law Firm, Mikela gained extensive legal experience with law firms across California, including managing litigation departments, mentoring new attorneys, and developing firm policies and procedures. She has also worked closely with survivors of domestic violence, advocating on their behalf and helping them navigate difficult legal processes with compassion and determination.
Having called Nevada home for more than 14 years, Mikela is grateful for the warm welcome she and her family have received from the state’s wonderful people. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, and is deeply committed to giving back to the community through volunteer work that supports vulnerable individuals and promotes access to justice.
